Pick up your Registration Packet at the District Conference check in desk of Embassy Suites Hotel – Concord, NC (Follow Conference Check In Signs).

DRESS CODE FOR WEEKEND:

Friday – Traveling Clothing.

Saturday – Business Casual for Sessions except Saturday night, which is coat and tie for the gentlemen and professional attire for the ladies.

Sunday – Business Casual.

Thursday

• 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Early arrivals may register and pick up conference materials at reception desk

Friday

• 10:00 a.m. Registration opens
• 10:00 a.m.  House of Friendship opens for Club Display Setup
• 1:30 p.m. – Conference begins
• 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Plenary Session I – Business Session Club’s voting delegate must attend (Welcome from Concord Mayor J. Scott Padgett, District Governor Allen Langley, District 7680, Rotary International President’s Representative Remarks)
• 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Check in to hotel.  Set up Club Displays in House of Friendship
• 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Plenary Session II – Vocational Service
• 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. – Reception
• 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Carolina Traditional Barbeque Dinner on the Patio (or indoors if inclement weather)
• 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. Plenary Session III – Club Service (RI Representative’s Keynote Address)
• 9:30 – 10:30 – House of Friendship Drawing for 3^rd Prize Polio Plus Raffle, Door Prizes

Saturday

• Hot Breakfast Cooked to Order – 7:00‐8:00 a.m. ‐ Lobby
• 9:00‐10:30 a.m. Plenary Session IV‐New Generations (Closing Remarks from RI Representative)
• 10:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Club Awards (President Citation, Changemaker Award, Governor’s Awards for Excellence)
• Lunch on your own
• 11:30 – 5:30 p.m. – Free time (Shopping, Spa, Tours, Golf).
• Reception – 5:30‐6:30 p.m.
• Dinner – 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
• 8:30‐9:30 p.m. Plenary Session V‐International Service (PDG Subrahmanyam Ganesh Presentation, RI Director John Smarge’s Keynote Address)
• 9:30 House of Friendship – Drawing for 2^nd Prize Polio Plus Raffle, Door Prizes
• 9:30 – 11:00 p.m. – House of Friendship – Talent Show

Sunday

It is now time to start thinking about the District Conference, in Knoxville, Tennessee, April 29, 2011 through May 1, 2011, at the Knoxville Marriott. This event is an opportunity for fun and fellowship, inspirational messages, learning about club projects, participating in some local projects, awards for our clubs this year and engaging yourself into an event that will enlighten you with many aspects of Rotary.

I hope you will consider coming and making it a family affair. We have free time on Saturday afternoon and plenty to do in Knoxville for the entire family. We want you to enjoy the conference and the sights of Knoxville. So be there and enjoy are theme this year for our District Conference which is BE A ROTARY VOLUNTEER.  More details about the conference will be forthcoming.

Attached is your registration form so that you can register early and make your hotel reservations as so as possible. Let’s celebrate together in Knoxville, Tennessee. Day 1 (Friday)

As day one of our District Conference comes to a close we have had a great first day.  We have seen presentations about Shelterbox, Numerous Club Project Presentations, met our RI President’s Rep and shared this year’s work with our fellow Rotarians.

Tomorrow we look forward to learning more about youth programs, ambassadors, scholars and more about special club projects going on in our district.

Day 2 (Saturday)

Day two has been a great success.  Today we heard from GSE Teams, Youth Exchange, Outbound Exchange Students and various International Programs going on in our District.  Programs were packed full of great Rotary Information!

Day 3 (Sunday)

Closing up on our annual conference with our last session.  Today we heard from CART, Club Projects and looking forward to the upcoming year and transition team.
