Rotarian Reid Awarded Rotary Star

Janie DeVos, President of the Rotary Club of Spruce Pine, presented Rotarian Reid Duncan with a Rotary Star at the May 1st meeting.

Hendersonville wins Salvation Army Bell Trophy

Each year Hendersonville Rotary helps the Salvation Army raise funds for the neediest people in our community by ringing the bell during the Christmas season.

2014 District Conference Update

Registration for the Rotary District Conference in Greenville, SC will begin at 8:00 a.m. on January 23. The conference will be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Greenville, SC, from June 20-22, 2014. To reserve your hotel, you will need to contact the hotel directly and ask for the Rotary discounted rate. The link is on the District data base.

Hendersonville Rotary Awards Grants to 9 Area Non-profits

13 January 2014

This year nine area non profits received grants. Grant amounts vary from $300 to $1500. These grants will be sued to provide books for children at IAM, fund an Amazing Animals traveling show through Hands On Children’s Museum, provide dental hygiene packets at the Free Clinic, purchase special literacy software for adult learners through Blue Ridge Literacy Council, address eating disorders in our youth through Center for Disordered Eating, purchase a stage and backdrop curtain for the YouTheatre and provide summer camp opportunities through Henderson County Young Leaders. Two important community wide events also received grant support they are Farm City Day and Speak Out for Kids 2014.

Hendersonville Rotarians Knee Deep in Mud Creek
